CICS POSITION Based in DUBLIN and GALWAY with financial services software company.
POSITION PURPOSE*OBJECTIVE:
The position includes supporting a large CICS and MQ systems in a mainframe SYSPLEX environment. Responsibilities for the position are implementing new CICS and MQ OEM software maintenance, knowledge of performance and tuning, Business Unit support, testing, and project management.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Design, program, and maintain CICS, MQ, and OEM Software products for mainframe environment.
·Recommend enhancements or modifications to current system software and procedures.
·Select and install CICS system software.
·Select and install MQ system software.
·Assist other support teams with OEM product support.
·Develop, implement, and maintain backup*recovery*restore facilities.
·Develop, implement, and maintain Data Security interfaces.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
·10+ years of Systems support.
·5+ years of CICS Systems support.
·1+ year(s) of CICS*TS 1.3 support.
·Knowledge of CICS*TS 2.2 a plus.
·Knowledge of CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG) 5.0 a plus.
·Knowledge of Database a plus.
·Knowledge of CPSM.
·Knowledge of MQSERIES 5.2 and 5.3.
·Knowledge of UNIX a plus.
·Knowledge of mainframe programming languages.
·Proficient with CICS and MQ system dumps.
·Knowledge of Data Security interfaces.
·Knowledge of Major sub systems.
·Knowledge of compilers and utilities
